Q:Will these work for a big air conditioner?

A:  Thank you for your interest in this product! These brackets have not been tested for a specific weight capacity. However, this is made of solid wood which is very strong and durable! The weight capacity will largely depend on the installation and the type of screws your using! Good luck on your project!

    Q:Can I use this outdoors? Which type of wood will stand up the best outside? It will be painted.

    A:  Thank you for your interest in our products. These brackets are typically used in interior applications, but I suppose if you seal and maintain them, they could be use for exterior applications as well. Out of these materials I would recommend Mahogany for an exterior application. It is the most durable hardwood that we offer these brackets in that can be either painted or stained.
