For a load-bearing application, you want to install into a stud by either toe nailing the corbel from the side. screwing straight through the corbel, or screwing through the wall from behind. We chose the rubberwood because of its strength, and paint-ability. They are high quality, came wonderfully packaged, and are just perfect!! Would buy again in a heartbeat.
