Our molded barn wood is a 4-in-1 reversible product. This product can be traditional ship lap with a nickel gap on 1 side. On the other side is a tight-fitting product resembling tongue and groove. 1 side of the board is weathered, the other side features the original circle saw marks. Our wall coverage per piece is greater than that of our competition, making our product a much better value.

    A:  Thank you for your interest in our products! These ship lap panels are made of real wood. Specifically, they are made from kiln dried white pine. This material is excellent for interior applications and will hold up very well. That said, it is not ideal for exterior applications as pine is not the most durable wood species. It is prone to attract pests and will age more quickly than other woods that are exterior grade, such as, western red cedar. I hope this is helpful and best of luck on your project!
