Even if you exclude animal products, various creatures will try to feast on veg, fruit, bread, etc. They consistently visited my homemade composter. Try putting a layer of gravel under the Enviro World composter. That will still give it good drainage & make it difficult for rodents.
It is the bin and the base. It's inconsistent that the bin with base is cheaper than without the base, but I'm not complaining.
The bin is the same. The base is separate and doesn't have to be used.
The base is a separate part and doesn't have to be used.
With the base in place, I believe it should be safe to use on concrete without damage.
Yes, manually. This can be done with a pitchfork or small shovel. This doesn't seem to be an issue so far, but may be more difficult if the bin is full.
I'm researching this myself...I compared the two and it appears the $330 is compacting and this one is stationary..but when I look at the $330 ones page, it doesn't mention anything special.
Hi Ned, unfortunately we do not offer a replacement door for the 82 gal. Compost Bin with Base as a singular purchase on Homedepot.com. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot!
No, it is not BPA free
Our thinking was to get the one with the base to keep moles out of the compost.
