Is it possible for a single rod to slide all the way through this easily?

Yes it is possible to thread a bolt or threaded rod all the way through. However, be warned, The threads are not tapped full depth near the center. I had to re-tap the coupler to get it to work (with a tap, not a bolt). So that would mean NO, NOT EASILY

What is the weight rating on this? Is there an official document that states this? Is it the same...
