Brass fitting for bbq quick disconnect gas hose to natural gas shut off valve.
Fitting fits my application for my gas bbq to hook up to my natural gas quick disconnect. Of course I had to buy a 3/8” nipple too along with this fitting. Item of this reducing coupling fitting was expensive, almost 10.00 for a little piece of brass.

Cracked after 9 months of use
I hand tightened this with a small wrench to attach a threaded hose bib to a threaded copper pipe. I used plumbers tape. 9 months later, I noticed the paint on the wall had bubbled. It didn't leak the weeks after installing it. Luckily, I had put in a small access panel. I'm returning this garbage asap. This isn't the first time an Everbilt product has failed. Never again purchasing this brand.

These heavier duty couplings are the answer for a higher preasure application, (in this case), a changeover from a Chinesium to NPT compressor head application. A higher torque load for these flare fittings is possible.

I used one of these to connect a hose bib to a male NPT fitting. I didn't tighten them all that hard, but in a few months, the Everbilt fitting cracked and started leaking into my daylight basement. Luckily, we noticed it before more than a few gallons of water leaked into the basement.
For my sort of use, I'd purchase a stainless steel or thicker walled fitting.

These are thin walled and the heat from my water heater was enough to crack it within one day of use. I don't care about the part lost as much as I care about the water leak it caused. Home depot should replace these with a thicker part.
Constructed of corrosion-resistant brass, this durable hex head is used to connect two pipes of different Diameters. The hex-head design enables better grip and torque when using a wrench, and its tapered threads are NPT standard. This bushing is ideal to use with copper, brass or iron pipe on oil, natural gas, water or air lines. It is not intended for underground use.
Use this garden hose adapter with a standard garden hose. It has a female pipe thread end and a female garden hose end. Made of durable, corrosion resistant brass, this adapter is also lead-free. This fitting conforms to NSF 61 and 372 and is registered in Mass.
Brass pipe nipples are made from solid, lead free brass stock and have male tapered pipe threads on both ends. Brass is very durable and resists corrosion. The fitting Diameter is measured using the outer Diameter measurement. Easy to install, this pipe fitting is commonly used for low to medium pressure plumbing applications.
The durable brass on this pipe tee is lead-free and corrosion resistant. The T-shape allows for 3 lines and has 3 female threaded connections. This fitting conforms to NSF 61 and 372 and is registered in Mass.
