Good closet rod
I replaced the old closet rod in my closet and it worked perfect. We used a hacksaw to cut size and installed brackets and it is holding up great. Good purchase...very satisfied.

Very heavy duty. I used this to make a garage shelve and coat rack. Mainly I made this for my motorcycle leather and gear which is heavy due to armor and being thick leather. This does a great job and handles the weight with ease.

The closet pole is made of heavy duty metal with an enamel type finish. It came in a 6 foot length but I believe longer lengths are available. I had purchased a product that was made to extend but I needed one shorter than 6 feet. Ideally you would cut it with a pipe cutter to get a clean cut. One could use a hack saw or a reciprocating saw with a metal cutting blade (similar to a hack saw blade). Take into account the end pieces you will want to put on each end for support as you measure pole length. (Available at Home Depot or most any hardware store.) Even though the pole is very ridged and can support a lot of hangers and the clothes you may hang, intermittent supports are suggested. if you don't like the pole moving/spinning, a set screw can be put in the pole at a support. A pilot hole may be desired to start a self tapping screw in the pipe as the pipe is very hard. I suggest using a vise if you have one to hold the pipe firmly in place. I used one to cut the pipe with a pipe cutter. I put a piece of cloth around the pipe to protect the finish of the pole from the vise. If you don't have a pipe cutter, Home Depot has one in their store and will cut it for you for free.

This is exactly what I wanted. Retired and have more Tshirts then ever and no where to put them. So I added shelves in a bedroom and more space for hanging items. I LOVE THE ENTIRE HOOK UP ALL FROM HOME DEPOT. It looks great and there's nothing that I dont like. I love love love it.
