Good product. Although a little bit hard to start into drilled holes in wood beams due to wide points on end of lags. Once started worked quite well.

Every screw broke while driving it
Well I purchased quite a few of these lag screws for a wall mounted lumber storage rack I was building. The reason why I gave these lag screws 3 stars is because every screw that I drove through the wood broke at the point where the thread meets the unthreaded portion of the screw. I was driving the screws through pre-drilled holes on the 3 1/2 side of a 2x4 and into the studs in my garage wall using a regular 18 volt drill driver for most of the way then I would finish tightening them down with a wrench. I use the 3/8 lag screws in my shop all the time and never had a problem with them. In face they have always been great, but these 1/4 lag screws for some reason just kept breaking. I am sure it is a probably a manufacturing defect on that certain batch of screws which is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 1. Id still recommend the screws, because I truly think it was just that batch of screws with the defect, but If you are purchasing the screws I would recommend driving a couple of them through some scrap wood before using them as a permanent fixture.
