Thank you for your inquiry on the Everbilt 1/2 in. Copper Pressure Cup x MIP Male Adapter Fitting. Our Solder cups will accept Copper tubing of the same nominal size, so a 1/2 in. copper solder cup with accept 1/2 in. copper tubing. The fitting would not go inside the pipe. If you have additional questions, you can reach a NIBCO Technical Services Advisor, M-F 8am - 5pm EST, by phone at (888) 446-4226.

Thank you for your inquiry on the Everbilt 1/2 in. x 3/8 in. Copper Pressure Cup x MIP Male Adapter Fitting. Copper should not be adhered or glue to PVC or plastic. The recommend transition method is a copper threaded by PVC hub union. NIBCO unfortunately does not currently offer an option for this. If you have additional questions, you can reach a NIBCO Technical Services Advisor, M-F 8am - 5pm EST, by phone at (888) 446-4226.

Thank you for your inquiry on the Everbilt 1/2 in. Copper C x M Male Pressure Adapter (10-Pack). The 10 pack is the smallest offering sold for this item. If you have additional questions, you can reach a NIBCO Technical Services Advisor, M-F 8am - 5pm EST, by phone at (888) 446-4226.

Could the threaded end be cut down with a copper tube cutter?

Asked by Lyn September 3, 2020

Answer

Thank you for your inquiry on the Everbilt 3/4 in. Copper Pressure Cup x MIP Male Adapter Fitting. Although you could do that with a wheel cutter (or a hack saw/band saw), it is not recommended. Also, all warranty would cease once that was done to the fitting. If you have additional questions, you can reach a NIBCO Technical Services Advisor, M-F 8am - 5pm EST, by phone at (888) 446-4226.

Answer

Thank you for your inquiry on the Everbilt 1/2 in. Copper Pressure Cup x MIP Male Adapter Fitting. This fitting is threaded for plumbing applications, not for a garden hose. For that application you will need to use a garden hose adapter. If you have additional questions, you can reach a NIBCO Technical Services Advisor, M-F 8am - 5pm EST, by phone at (888) 446-4226.

Answer

Thank you for your inquiry on the Everbilt 3/4 in. Copper Pressure Cup x MIP Male Adapter Fitting. The LFA-669 is a 3/4 in. FNPT to 3/4 in. garden hose adapter. The 604 3/4 in. in question will thread into the LFA-669 3/4 in. FNPT end and copper tubing can be soldered into the solder cup end on the 604. If you have additional questions, you can reach a NIBCO Technical Services Advisor, M-F 8am - 5pm EST, by phone at (888) 446-4226.

Will a 1/2” copper pipe slide onto this?

Asked by Andy April 30, 2020

Answer

Thank you for your inquiry on the Everbilt 3/8 in. x 1/2 in. Copper Pressure Cup x MIP Male Adapter Fitting. If you are using 1/2 in. Nominal copper tubing you should use a 604 1/2 in., but if you are measuring the Outside diameter of the copper tubing the nominal size would be 3/8 in. and the fitting below will work. If you have additional questions, you can reach a NIBCO Technical Services Advisor, M-F 8am - 5pm EST, by phone at (888) 446-4226.

factory defect. miss-shaped / deformed, but they still packaged it any-ways. why bother? For a 1-of in a sealed package, very bad QC. I couldn't get my project finished, and had to drive an extra 20 miles to get a replacement. (see photos, as it came out of the package.) I guess you need to inspect every piece you find in the bin/box.

I’m an intermediate-level DIY and do a fair amount of home plumbing. I recently used this fitting for a bathroom project, and it worked very well. It seems well fabricated using quality copper and looks to be precision milled (see picture). The adapter fit snug on ½ copper pipe (see picture) and easily fastened tight to a mating copper adapter. It solders evenly and the shoulder nut is easy to grip with a wrench. It did the job for me, and I would recommend it.

This Copper pipe threaded male adapter is well made easy to use , Some solder skills needed along with soldering tools. 1 inch Copper pressure cup for connection to your supply system with MIPT male threaded adapter for attachment by thread to your specific needs. Think (solder to threaded). This product can be used in pressure systems , AC, refrigeration potable water etc. MIPT, Male (Iron) Pipe Thread – a type of threaded end found on PVC or CPVC fittings where the outside of the fitting is threaded to facilitate connection with a female pipe threaded end (FPT).  My experience with this fitting was average, solder worked nicely threads are cut fair but make sure you use paste or teflon tape as required as the threads are a little rough. My biggest issue is the paper label sticker , hard to take off or is a mess when heat is applied when soldering. As fittings go this worked as expected decent quality and priced well.
