Use this 3/4 in. copper pressure comp x comp union in residential and commercial applications, such as potable water, air conditioning and refrigeration. Yes if installed properly but would go with a higher strength then soldier like a brazing material to be on the safe side especially if you go higher then 150.

Yes. Soft copper Soft (or ductile) copper tubing can be bent easily to travel around obstacles in the path of the tubing. While the work hardening of the drawing process used to size the tubing makes the copper hard or rigid, it is carefully annealed to make it soft again; it is therefore more expensive to produce than non-annealed, rigid copper tubing. It can be joined by any of the three methods used for rigid copper, and it is the only type of copper tubing suitable for flare connections. Soft copper is the most popular choice for refrigerant lines in split-system air conditioners and heat pumps. Rigid copper Rigid copper is a popular choice for water lines. It is joined using a sweat, roll grooved, compression or crimped/pressed connection. Rigid copper, rigid due to the work hardening of the drawing process, cannot be bent and must use elbow fittings to go around corners or around obstacles. If heated and allowed to cool in a process called annealing, rigid copper will become soft and can be bent/formed without cracking.

Simple question and a complicated answer. 5/8" OD. What is the difference between L and M copper pipe? Type L and Type M copper pipe. ... But for normal “in the wall” household plumbing, Type M copper pipe is just fine. You may be surprised to find two types of copper pipe on the home center shelf, Type L and Type M. The difference is the wall thickness of the pipe and therefore the pressure it can handle. Agreed with most others comments, the machining and seat geometry are not the best. First attempt...
Agreed with most others comments, the machining and seat geometry are not the best. First attempt at pressuring the system revealed a very minor drip from it. Tightened it some more with big wrenches and it held fine.

It worked for me...
I banged up the seating surfaces during the install and had to lap it with steel wool to get the seating surfaces to mate... With a little care and torque the leaking eventually stopped making for a perfect fit...

Had to repair a pipe that had a slow flow of water to it only option was to install this or a sharkbite Because I was going to be soldering in the rest of the pipes went with this it has a very very small leak from the threaded and nut meet. I am now going to need to depressurize a whole system just to loosen it and try adding pipe dope to help seal it.
