Designed for residential and commercial applications such as potable water, air conditioning and refrigeration. This female adapter features a male solder and a female NPT thread. Each adapter is meant for adapting a solder connection to a threated connection.

A:  It is a sweat fitting, and is a “street” fitting, fits inside another sweat fitting, not inside copper tubing.

A:  Thank you for your inquiry on the Everbilt 3/4 in. Copper Pressure FTG x FIP Female Fitting Adapter. This adapter has a fitting end, which is designed to solder into a copper cup. As you are wanting to solder directly to a copper pipe, the additional adapter you referenced would be the correct one as it is designed to have the pipe insert in to the solder cup.       I wish they would’ve made the fitting so that a three-quarter inch pipe would go inside of it. I overlooked that minor detail and it caused an extra trip to the store to buy couplings. Other than that it works as designed.
