Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their answer is, This fitting has a 3/4 in. male hose thread (MHT) connection on one end and a 3/4 in. male pipe thread (MIP) or 1/2 in. female pipe thread (FIP) connection on the other.  It does not have the 1" connections you are looking for.

Thank you for your question, the answer is; MHT stands for Male Hose Thread and MIP stands for Male Thread NPT. They are thread styles. Thanks.

**MHT** stands for **Male Hose Thread**, which is a type of threading commonly used for garden hoses and other outdoor water connections. **MIP** stands for **Male Iron Pipe**, which is a type of threading used for connecting pipes in plumbing systems. These terms indicate the type of connections on the fitting, allowing you to understand how it will connect to other components in your plumbing or garden hose setup. This says 3/4 in. MHT x 3/4 MIP or 1/2 in.. How do you choose 3/4 x 1/2? I see no option to choose between the two?

It looks like one end is threaded at 3/4" outside (for female fitting) and the inside of that same end is threaded for 1/2" inside (male fitting). Hope that helps

I have 2 female water supply lines to connect inside the house. One from the supply line inside the wall, and the other from the new faucet. Might I use this fitting? Or, could you suggest another connector?

Unfortunately, we would need more information regarding the existing connectors to make a recommendation. The thread type of the existing connectors would dictate which fitting is ideal for the Everbilt 3/4 in. MHT x 3/4 MIP or 1/2 in. FIP Brass Multi Adapter Fitting.

As long as the threads are correct this one will work. Just have to check connections and match them according to size and thread. Could be regular pipe thread or compression thread

Excellent BRASS fitting. We are in the middle of clearing, grading and landscaping about an acre of ground - its August so we need to irrigate/water for newly seeded lawns and plants to survive. I picked up a few different fittings to connect hoses, PVC pipe, hose reels, drip irrigation systems etc. Really like that these are brass. Cheaper pot metal fittings corrode over time and removing corroded fittings to replace a hose or attachment is not only time consuming, if you are not careful and use lots of penetrating lubricant you risk damaging the fitting and whatever the fitting is connected to. Brass does not have that problem - plus these fittings are a lot stronger than pot metal. With the combination of pipe threads and hose threads, I can layout a watering system - like a drip irrigation system - that can remain in place and connect the water supply using a garden hose whenever I need water. These come in various configurations to meet a variety of applications - shown are the male pipe thread to male hose thread and the second one is a male pipe thread to female hose thread.

This is really a genius fitting that I seem to use a lot in gardening and landscaping irrigation situations. This has a male garden hose thread on one side and either a male 3/4 inch iron pipe thread (NPT) OR a 1/2 inch female iron pipe thread on the other. This is an indispensable fitting when connecting black polyethylene (PE) or PVC pipe to a garden hose or (with an additional fitting) a hose bib. Use the regular barbed fittings with PE or glue fittings with PVC, and then this converter. This is also the fitting needed to add a hose end to an irrigation run. If you need to blow out piping before freeze-up, you may need one of these too to convert your air compressor sizes to a garden hose size. I often seem to use these in conjunction with a double female hose adapter, depending on where I am connecting. Solid brass, so it won’t break or cross-thread like plastic and will probably outlast you.

I am using this adapter to drain the coolant from my Lincoln trailer mounted welder. If I just remove the pipe plug and drain the coolant it makes a mess and the coolant is not recoverable. Since coolant is very toxic I always try to drain it into a container so that I can take it to a disposal facility. By using this adapter and a short garden hose I can make sure that all of the glycol is captured in a jug. Most modern engines can be drained by opening a small valve and letting the coolant drain into a pan. This 1949 Lincoln welder however just has a pipe plug and when you remove it coolant goes everywhere if you don't devise a system like this.
