Product Details

Keep the ends of tubes securely sealed with these brass compression caps. Threaded on the inside for a tight seal, the durable caps are made from lead-free, corrosion resistant brass. Perfect for low to mid pressure applications. For use with aluminum, brass, copper or plastic tubing. Caps conform to NSF 61 and 372.

Q:I bought the 3/8 compression cap to seal off my dishwasher supply line and it leaks. Do they make one with a gasket.

A:  Unfortunately, for the Everbilt 3/8 in. OD Compression Brass Cap Fitting there is no gasket for it. But a small amount of thread tape should seal it right up.

    Q:Would this be suitable to use to close off a toilet supply line while the toilet is removed for a week or so? The existing valve is frozen open, so I'd like to use this to cap it off so I can have water supply turned back on during the renovation?

    A:  Not sure, but you would be better replacing the valve. Shut the water off, replace the valve, and turn the water back on. The valves aren't that expensive.

          A:  I didn't use a gasket inside the cap, I just tightened it up to the waterline and it didn't leak.I only needed it in place for 3 days as I was waiting for my new faucet to be delivered.

          Q:This cap has a flat top? All the compression caps I have used have a slight dome top. I normally put a 1/4 ferrule in the cap to seal the valve against leaks. These caps must be incorrect as the ferrule will not fit in them deeply enough.

            For capping a 3/8” compression valve
            The cap Everbilt 613 289 LFA-105 in combination with a Danco 88569 1/2” OD flat washer seals the valve without a drip. During my renovation, worked like a champ. Bought (3) caps for the toilet and sink with a pack of washers. Valves were frozen and I shut the main off and capped the valves then turned the main back on. Worked without any drip. Thanks for those who recommended a washer.
