Flat washers are essential fasteners to keep on hand. They are used with a bolt or screw to evenly spread the load over a wider area. Flat washers also prevent loosening due to vibration, stop the bolt or screw from pulling through, and can act as spacers. Available in a variety of sizes and finishes.

I cannot confirm if these DECKMATE Marine Grade Stainless Steel 3/8 in. Flat Washers are equivalent to AN960-616 washers, as our available information does not provide a direct comparison to that specific standard. However, I can provide the specifications for this product to help you compare: Fastener Material: Stainless Steel Grade: 316 Stainless Fits Bolt Size: 3/8 inch Outside Diameter: 5/8 in Washer Thickness: 0.065 in Measurement System: Inches Package Quantity: 4 pieces These flat washers are made from Grade 316 Stainless Steel, offering superior corrosion resistance, especially for marine applications. They are designed to spread the load and prevent loosening when used with a bolt or screw.
I purchased these based on the answer from "Supplier Quality". Turns out that "Supplier Quality" was wrong. The washers are 3/8" ID, and 1" OD. The specifications in the fourth image are correct.
Galvanized steel can be painted, but proper preparation is essential for good adhesion and a lasting finish. Here are the general steps: Clean the surface: Remove any dirt, grease, or oil from the washers using a degreaser or a mild detergent and water. Rinse thoroughly and let them dry completely. Prepare the surface: New galvanized surfaces often have a smooth, shiny finish that paint struggles to adhere to. You can either: Allow it to weather: Let the washers be exposed to the elements for about six months to a year. This natural weathering process creates a duller, more porous surface that paint can grip. Chemical treatment: Use a galvanized metal primer or a wash primer specifically designed for galvanized surfaces. These products etch the surface, improving paint adhesion. Follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully. Light sanding: For older, weathered galvanized surfaces, a light sanding with fine-grit sandpaper can help create a better profile for paint. Apply primer: Once the surface is clean and prepared, apply a primer specifically formulated for galvanized metal. This primer will help the topcoat adhere and prevent peeling. Apply topcoat: After the primer has dried according to the manufacturer's recommendations, apply your desired topcoat paint. Use a paint suitable for metal and the environment the washers will be in. Without proper preparation, paint applied directly to new galvanized steel may peel or flake over time.

Stainless steel is the best option - though the chlorine will eventually cause anything but military grade fasteners to corrode.
Both will corrode eventually, chlorine attacks both, but the stainless steel is a better choice.
To clarify the "supplier quality" response.... NO they are not hot dipped galvanized. Mechanical galvanizing is inferior to HOT dipped (less zinc). To say the reason they are not hot dipped is "b/c they stick together" is nonsense... it b/c its cheaper.
The galvanized flat washers are mechanically galvanized as hot-dipped galvanization on washers tends to cause them to stick together.
