Product Details

This lead-free flare union is used to join 2 pipes often in air or vacuum lines. It can be connected and disconnected unlike soldered fittings. Flare unions are often used with forged nuts (sold separately) for extra security with gases and liquids. Brass is corrosion resistant. This fitting conforms to NSF 372 and 61 and is registered in Mass.

    A:  MIP (Male Iron Pipe). It refers to the thread not the material. MPT (Male Pipe Thread) would probably have been better. Most technical writing is done by not so technical people.

          A:  No, the Everbilt 5/8 in. Flare x 3/4 in. MIP Brass Adapter Fitting will only work with the flare threading standard. We do not have any Everbilt fittings to adapt water pipe to a faucet thread. There are some faucet aerator adapters in the faucet repair bay of your local Home Depot store. Please see a plumbing associate who may be able to assist in making the connections you need with multiple fittings.
