Q:Could these be used to go into plywood 3/4 inch

Answer This Question

A:  yes. small nails

by|Mar 31, 2021

A:  Sure, they will go in about a 1/2"!!

by|Mar 31, 2023

A:  We cannot provide guidance for your application. 3/4 inch plywood should be more than deep enough for the nail, but it will depend on the thickness of the material that the nail is holding to the plywood.

A:  Yes, be careful not to break nail. Use light touch, small nails.

    by|Mar 31, 2021

A:  I used it to go through aluminum trim that's used for wrapping window and door trim

    by|Jan 8, 2020

A:  Yes, these upholstery nails can be used for 16 or 22 gauge sheet metal. We would not recommend using any sheet metal thicker than 0 gauge (5/16 inch).

      These are thumbtacks!
Make no mistake. These are NOT quality upholstery nails. You will have a very tough time hammering these in without bending them. Thumbtacks, from an office supply place, would actually do a better job. I got the job done, but it took three times what it should have because I had to use a nail set to start every hole, before hammering. STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED!

The nails made the chair that I was reupholstering look very pretty, but I had trouble with the nails bending when I nailed them into the wood because the chair was very old and the wood was very hard....I wasted about 30% of them. Just be aware that the nails can bend if you have a hard surface to nail them into.
