These hooks are built well, and I like how there is a nice rubber coating on them, which means that you don't have to worry about scratching anything.

Great quality!
I installed these into a 2X4 and then to my garage wall (my beams are oddly spread apart). The hooks are high quality and the rubber coating is great for protecting my bike's wheels.

Covering came off after one week
This hook was used to hang a bicycle from a garage ceiling. I used it to replace a smaller hook with red plastic covering that finally needed to be replaced after more than 10 years of use. The covering only lasted one week.

excellent for any size bike
I have been using these in my garage to hang bikes from the cieling for over 30 years. I have at least 10 bikes hanging off these right now. They are all hanging off 1 wheel. I had both my 40 year old daughter's and my 31 year old son's first bikes hanging off these, and now my daughter's kids are riding them. I have a Tag-a-long bike, a 3 speed bike, and a couple of multispeed speed bikes hanging off these. I had my high school 5 speed bike hanging up there and last year took it down and rebuilt it as a single speed bike. I also had a Raliegh Chopper from my childhood days hanging off one of these that my son recently reconditioned and rides on the boardwalk near his house. I am in the process of installing more for my newer bikes. These are great and at this price a better overhead bike support can't be found. (installation note: predrill or drive in and remove a pilot nail first - use a long screwdriver as a hool to assist turning the hook.)

Heavy Duty Hook
Really heavy duty! Drill 5/16", screw in and hang away. Soft rubber/vinyl with wrinkle finish is gentle on bike rims.
