Product Details

This expandable torque arrestor protects submersible pumps from damage due to start-up torque. It is made of heavy flexible PVC. This torque arrestor can adjust to fit 4 in. to 8 in. well casings.
  • Used in submersible well pump applications to prevent the pump and pipe from torqueing and striking the well casing
  • Fits 1 in. and 1-1/4 in. pipe
  • Expandable to fit 4 in. well casing up to 8 in. well casing
  • 2-piece flexible PVC with stainless streel clamps
  • To fit into larger well casings, compress the torque arrestor so it is touch both sides of the well casing

        A:  Hi MB, This torque arrestor can only be used with 1 inch and 1-1/4 inch drop pipe, from well casing sizes 4 inches to 8 inches. If you need a torque arrestor for a 2 inch drop pipe, please call us at 844-251-7446 to discuss a special order, and reference this chat.

          A:  Usually around a foot to a foot and a half above the pump.

            A:  At the top of your pump sorta protects and help you get pump back in well pump

              A:  The torque arrestor sits, just above the well pump brass fitting. I would say roughly 8" - 10" above the brass fitting (on the well pump).

                I installed this when I replaced my well pump motor....
                I installed this when I replaced my well pump motor. There is no way to know how it is performing except that my pump is working normally. There was no torque arrestor on the old motor. It is quieter.
