While cove molding is sometimes used as a decorative element at the top of a wall where it meets the ceiling, it isn't typically used to finish the edges of a floating floor. Quarter-round molding is specifically designed for this purpose, covering the expansion gap and providing a clean, finished look. Using cove molding in this application would likely not achieve the desired result and may look out of place.
They don't do exact measurement cuts! Either HIRE a PROFESSIONAL, or go buy a Miter Box, they aren't expensive and a decent Miter hand Saw. Moldings are NOT that hard to cut!
This item is stocked as a 16 foot item, so no cutting will be needed to get 16 foot pieces.
You CAN install with construction adhesives, but it may eventually fall off. Pre-drill the nail holes with a very small bit first, then hammer them in with 1-1/2 inch finishing nails, that way you aren't bending nails or hitting them in at the wrong angles
Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. The recomended installation is with nails. As always, we appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.
yes, I painted it with latex paint and i did have any issues.
Clarabelle, Although painting is not required for this product, you can paint it a different color if you would like. Curing/dry time is different and takes longer, due to the finish coating that is on the product. It will cure from the inside out, instead of outside in.
Yes. And very easy to work with.

I used a simple angle cut jig with hand saw kit from homedepot, on it's side and vertical.
It's all in how you hold it in a miter box and saw it. If you have to ask, then hire a pro and have it done correctly.
