Product Overview

The FLEX-Drain 4 in. Polypropylene DWV FLEX-Drain Coupler is ideal for connecting 2 cut pieces of FLEX-Drain (not included). The FLEX-Drain system helps you get the job done faster and easier, with professional grade durability and more versatility than traditional corrugated pipe. Flexible and expandable, FLEX-Drain easily bends around any obstacle, holds its shape during installation and with a simple snap, its integrated soil-tight fittings lock securely and stay connected during backfilling. FLEX-Drain is a complete drainage solution system that's widely compatible with virtually all traditional 3 in. and 4 in. corrugated pipe and 4 in. PVC. Technologically superior, it's made with no-break copolymers and exceeds all applicable ASTM crush standards.
  • For joining 2 cut pieces of FLEX-Drain (not included)
  • Use to adapt FLEX-Drain to wyes and tees to help provide good fit and function
  • Adapts FLEX-Drain to end caps and pop-up emitters (caps and emitters not included)
  • Female connections
  • Minimum working temperature of -50°F and a maximum working temperature of 150°F

It's too short to fit both ends in. If ur lucky to force in the end of one pipe and get it to snap into the grooves, the second pipe has no space to do the same. I ended up using tape to secure both ends of the pipes. Defeats the purpose of the coupler

This is in response to a review from 'Payless' on July 7, 2018 This FLEX-Drain coupler fits on the outside of the pipe. If your using FLEX-Drain pipe you would have no problem inserting the FLEX-Drain pipe into the coupler. Other brands of pipe, I'm not sure of the fit. I accidently stepped on my FLEX-Drain polypropylene pipe and crushed a small section when I had it stretched out to it's maximum. Once crushed it's impossible for it to regain it's original shape so I cut that section out. Using a FLEX-Drain coupler and a small tube of silicone window, door and siding caulk I placed a dime size bead of silicone on the inside edge on each end of the coupler. Pushing in the pipe to the center on both ends. Just for insurance I added some silicone to the outside where the coupler and pipe meet too.

I was under the impression that this fitting would connect two pieces of 4 in. corrugated pipe, but the outside diameter is too large and was like trying to fit two straws together. The ONLY way I was able to get this “coupling” to fit into a 4 in. pipe was to fold it in half and force it in. This of course leaves a permanent fold in the coupler that is impossible to straighten out and creates a leak that will end up flooding the surrounding area. You’d be better off taping the two pipes together, at least it wouldn’t leak! Save yourself some aggravation and buy yourself a roll of duct tape instead of this useless waste of paper-thin plastic that doesn’t even fit into a piece of 4 in. pipe.

The coupler worked beautifully. I am glad I got it or else I would not have been able to complete my project when I did. Thanks Home Depot

Did what I needed it to do, seemed solid. However, edges were a bit uneven unlike in the photo, which made it feel a tad overpriced. With that said, it worked.

        Worthless
Tried to use these to connect to a catch basin. Worthless! Basically drain more water out than they cat to the next section. After wasting my time going to purchase these and an entire roll of gorilla tape, I would never buy this brand again. Yes it fits in your car easier than traditional drainage pipe, besides that, it is a waste of time and money.

          Very leaky coupler
This F-F coupler is a big weak point in the flex drain system. It will make the connection between two male ends but not without a constant leak. This system works when you can continuously make male to female connections going with the flow of water. When your connection has to be female to male with the flow expect it to leak.
