Can I connect pvc to corrugated pipe with this fitting

Yes you can if you are willing to do a little rigging. Get a 4" rubber connecter it is one that tappers to fit a black iron pipe. I had to cut a slit in the flex drain about 2" then folded it over and pushed it into the rubber connector. I used two clamps to keep it in place. During heavy storms nothing came loose. Been working for over 3 years. Everything is available in stock at Home Depot.

Sewer lines of any type need to be smooth. Think about what can run down a sewer drain. Do you really want to try snake this type of pipe? They do not use this type of corrugated pipe in Europe for sewer lines. This pipe is not for sewer line use.

Not sure of the question. A connector of this type is not associated with either a pump or a tank. Mainly just to connect drain pipe.

I don't have the for sure answer, but I put mine into a 12 inch deep trench, so there is about 8 inches of dirt, then I put sod down. No problems thus far, and I really don't expect any. Good luck!

How do you connect 2 "male end" pieces together?

Asked by Doug July 30, 2018

This 4-inch Flex Drain couple connects two pieces of 4-inch black corrugated pipe by sliding into each end of the pipe. Home Depot also offers the ADS 4-inch external snap coupler (0412AA) that connects two pieces of 4-inch corrugated pipe by sliding over each end of the pipe. And, also, the ADS 4-inch internal snap coupler (0417AA) that connects two pieces of 4-inch corrugated pipe by sliding into each end of the pipe. They each seem to work in a similar mediocre fashion and usually leak. I've used all three items and have to seal the connection with weatherstripping, caulk, and duct tape.

It is designed to screw over two 3" corrugated drain pipes or inside two 4" sections of corrugated pipe. It will NOT WORK when connecting two males sections of Flex-Drain pipe.

No. I've used a good adhesive caulk, but it's still not a good connection.

These make absolutely no sense. It is like trying to fit to male hose-fittings together. They do not "connect" anything - they don't fit their own brand of 4" pipe. Wondering why they even make them? The only Flex drain product that fit together prpperly was the square-ended flex pipe that fits on the gutter downspout. What a waste of time!

This is a light duty water transfer pipe connection . I had a rainwater collection project to fill my pond and needed some thing cost effective to connect into a main line. This pipe fit the bill. I saved about 50 -70% of the price on a heavier duty pipe cost. Just remember this pipe is not meant to have any heavy traffic on it, You really want to install it in a no traffic area. I ran it down the side of house. It was super easy to install just stretch it out dig your trench and cover. This type of will bend and over around tighter curves much easier than the heavier stuff making it a lot faster to install. The connection is the right fit for the pipe that goes with it. I also had to use this connection piece to connect to a heavier gauge flex pipe. It was not a good fit. So i had to use tape to assure no leaks. I had a about 2 inches of rain the next day and the pipe performed as expected with no leaks.

Garbage connectors
I have rainwater coming off the roof of my barn which needs to be drained into my fallow pasture. I bought several of these connectors, figuring that I would be able to stretch my 25 foot lengths of Flex-drain solid pipe the 100 feet into my pasture. Nope, these connectors will slip into the pipe, but leak like sieves. I've had to keep the drain pipe above ground instead of being able to place in a trench, and construct the draining pipes so that each one is slightly lower than the next, and thus just flows downhill. But this means I have to keep my horses out of a pasture which I hoped to use during the winter, so this is not a good solution.
