A:  Yes, they are plastic and they are waterproof. You can use them in ta bathroom. I do not think the installation gap is thick enough for tile. Also, they do not seal tightly to the wall, so leaks will occur into that interface.

A:  Yes. Hard to keep clean if being used as a back splash. I used the cross hatch panels on a wood substrate and held it in place with rolled out contact cement. But on tile I would consider using the padded double stick tape. ( 1"-2.5" width).

While the material is PVC so it will not harbor mold or mildew, the adhesive used to install is not warrantied to withstand constant direct water contact over an extended period of time. A:  Thank you for your great question! Our Crosshatch Silver J-Trim is meant to be used in installation with our Fasade backsplash panels. The trim can accommodate a panel of .07" in thickness. However, we cannot warranty our trim installation being used in additional applications not involving our panels.
