        A:  Bright white has more blue in it, soft white has more yellow light.

        A:  I'm not sure of the difference. I chose soft white because I'm using in the dining room chandelier and don't have a dimmer switch. I'm happy with the soft white in this application, but plan on installing the dimmer for the light control available with this bulb.

          A:  Thank you for the question. Soft white is 2700k which is a yellowish color. Bright white is 3000k. Which is yellowish but has a little white in it.

            A:  Not likely. These are more "decorative" grade bulbs and likely cannot handle outdoor weather. Unless, the packaging explicitly says that it's safe for outdoors, I wouldn't use them outdoors.

                  Daylight Color is white light
                  Hats off to this company for offering and showing the different light colors. Soft white is yellow. Daylight is white. I hate yellow and this bulb will replace the bottom portion of my new stained glass lamp which came with a soft or yellow light that makes the blue glass look an ugly greenish/yellow. Extremely hard to find in this size and wattage! And they did not make me buy 25, I got a 2 pack, perfect. the photo shown here at home depot product page shows bright light, also not white/clear
