Q:I saw it said ok for outdoors, but any idea if it has a conformal coating on the circuit boards? The halogens would get hot enough to dry out the whole enclosure during rain; am curious if the LED may die after a couple winters.

Q:These LED bulbs turn off after less than 5 seconds. We've tried different sockets and none can keep the lightbulbs on. The lightbulbs we have that do work are halogen 20W 12V bulbs.

Warning / may not be compatible in some fixtures
The swap in replacement LED light bulbs were not compatible with my specific track light fixture. The light fixture transformers (small box at base of removable track light bulb fixture. On initial power up the bulbs illuminated for approximately 5-10 seconds then went out one by one on my track light system. On closer examination, i could see black smoke residue on the small power transformers. The bulbs tested ok, but the light fixture was inoperable and needed to be replaced.

Thank you for your feedback. Reminder to check the minimum and maximum wattage requirements of your fixture; this bulb uses only 6.6 watts, so if your fixture requires more wattage, this bulb will not work with it.

Fiber Optic Christmas Tree
Perfect replacement from halogen lamp to LED, got the 3000k bright white (MR16 BAB GU5.3), lamp is much cooler now, and is probably much easier on the power adapter, less wattage (halogen uses 20 watts, this LED uses less than 3 watts), but same lumens.

I’ve been using these bulbs in commercial landscaping jobs for quite some time now. I really prefer these bulbs over the ones that are generally included with certain landscape lights. I will order the lights w/o bulbs, then purchase these to install. They are overall the best I’ve ever used!

Poor quality
I have 26 lights around the yard, I used these last year as replacements from the original bulbs. I'm here posting a review for these while looking for their replacements less than a year later. Some packages of lights are still operational, 14 are dimmed out. Looking for a quality manufacturer, Home Depot, got any ideas?

I wish I could recommend these lights... however, if you are trying to supplement or replace halogen lights of the "Equivalent" LED versions that these lights represent, you might be disappointed. Compared to my 20W, 3000K halogen lights (these are supposed to be equivalent to), they are noticeably brighter and almost blue-white, not the warm 3000K. Personally, I like the warm glow of the halogen for my house landscape lighting. These replacements do not offer that, contrary to their marketed specifications.
