Connected ABS to galvanized steel drain and vent pipe
Worked well with very good diameter sizing to connect ABS to galvanized steel drain and vent pipe; excellent quality mission coupling. Had to move a drain up a few inches for a remodel to accommodate a floating vanity. Testing for leaks before sealing up the wall...so far, so good. No leaks is essential, obviously, and high confidence this will work well for long term. Used a smear of plumber's grease on the coupling for the steel section to help improve seal, and to slip it on, light sand on the ABS to smooth and clean burrs -- not a lot of wiggle room with this insert. Used 5/16" socket to securely snug the straps to the pipe.

I have used this product on many other jobs where...
I have used this product on many other jobs where i needed the flexibility to be able to remove the attachment and replace it with new one when it was time to change the configuration from the above. I use this on make Sump pumps I have install and in the event that the pump no longer work I just need to loosen this connector and replace the pump. Does not requires me to cut and glue in a new pieces creating a lot of clean up up and mess at the client's home.
