Product Details

Fernco Proflex Couplings are an above ground transition coupling that create resilient pipe joints. The shielded design resists shear forces above ground. From 1-1/2 in. to 8 in. pipe diameters, Proflex connects cast iron, plastic, steel, copper and tubular drain waster and vent systems.

  • Designed for use with cast-iron, plastic, steel and copper drain, waste and vent systems
  • Install using a torque wrench to ensure a water tight connection

A:  Fernco products are made for drain, waste, vent applications. Can be used on water lines but not rated for potable water.

    A:  Yes it depends on the water pressure.

      A:  One of the couplings will need to be deflected in order to slip the coupling on. No cutting or folding the coupling is advised.

        A:  I think this 11/2" to 11/4." Has a stop in the middle for the proper fit & flow.

        A:  No, this coupling would not be appropriate for your connection. Please contact Fernco Customer Service and they will give you the correct coupling based on your type of application.

          A:  Absolutely, get a 2" copper female and a 2" PVC male adapter with a 2" × 1 1/2 pvc bushing to glue to glue inside the male adapter. But make sure you solder on the 2" copper female to the copper pipe before you screw on the male pvc adapter.

            A:  I dont see why not make sure you test it on both pipe to make sure there will be a tight seal on both ends.
