from what i read on the internet it is safe to drink from this hose
I bought one for the front yard and one for the backyard. I disconnected hose from water spout, but left both outside this winter. They are wrapped around a metal holder. The answer is they are still pliable. They are not hard or feel frozen. I haven’t unwound more than a couple of yards, but hose Is still soft and pliable.
I used to work at a supply store where we sold many industrial hoses. The best ready made was made by Swan for Rainbird. What we would recommend to both retail customers and commercial customers was to cut off the ends and put new cast brass hose couplings held on with Punch Lock Clamps. With aluminium connections one could get electrolysis and that could lead to problems. Stay with brass on brass on a good quality hose. This information is about 25 years old and from my understanding Swan no longer manufactures there ends in the USA but made in China. hope this helps.
Yes, you should have no issues
According the the product specs (above) it weighs 8.3 lbs. I believe that is probably more like it not 22.
I think it would because it is light in weight.
Tractor supply selling same hose for $46.99
There have been comments that the hose is prone to mold. Don't drink from garden hoses!
In the Chinese suburb of Taiwan.
I have my hose on a wall mounted hanger in the shade. In the past, I’ve had others on a reel that were exposed to Sun and Cold which may have something to do with their longevity. So I can’t say reel or coiled in a bowl will work better for this one. However, I think this is the best hose I have ever bought and believe me we have had quite an assortment of them. It is softer and easier to coil. I just hope it lasts longer then the rest of them that I bought in the past.
