We received this product yesterday and Jessica's response is incorrect. It DOES come with a cord to be plugged into a 20 amp circuit. see pic (Too bad for us that we only have 15 amp and it will cost $700-$1100 for our electrician to change it out)
Regarding the cut-out requirements.....I plan on replacing a GE microwave with Frigidaire PMBD3081BF. My existing cut-out is 28-1/2" WIDE x 21" HEIGHT. Will I have a gap? Do I need to have a carpenter cut a strip of wood and glue it in place?
The unit cut out width is not over 29" as the other answer mentions. This is incorrect. Your width is fine, according to the cut out requirements. Your height is a little tall, though, and that would need a filler strip.
Given your existing width of 28½″ and the unit width of ~29.8″, I strongly recommend widening the opening or adding filler/trim pieces. That will yield the best aesthetic result and help ensure the installation looks clean and built‐in rather than “shoved in.” If your cabinetry finish is easy to match, the filler strips approach can be a cost‐effective alternative. - Jessica
According to Frigidaire's website, the up-and-down cutout should be 17.75 inches. As are all their other combo microwaves.
