Will this panel take tandem breakers?

Can you use 1/2 breakers in this box say 15 or 20 amp single poles? I believe you can use 240/volt 1" breAkers
Asked by dksearay May 30, 2017yes the 1/2 breakers fit in the top 8 spaces of the 32 spaces, this bumps the max circuits up to 40. Greg is wrong, these do 240v tandem pole in a 1" slot if it is stabbed into both phases (there will be a 1/2 slot empty above and below)
100 amp breaker
Asked by JohnnyV May 13, 2020I believe this box is convertible to a main breaker box. If I am getting the drift of what you hope to accomplish, which is having a main "kill" switch this will fail an inspection. You must get the factory conversion breaker to replace the main lug connections. if you just "throw in" a 100 amp breaker (which is probably 50 bucks or more)on the buss bars I am sure an inspector will fail the inspection. GE Makes a 100 amp main breaker box that will fit your needs.
updating fuse box to breakers
Asked by bloodwhite May 10, 2011Considering that your old service panel is a fuse box it has to be at least 40 years old. In addition to the panel you'll need to update the service entrance wiring, meter socket and grounding. You posted this question under a main lug panel and not under a main breaker panel which you probably need. My recommendation would be to hire a licensed electrical contractor who will be familiar with all requirements and permitting procedures.
In the description dose not included a main breaker, and must be purchased separately, Right?
