This pad mount RV pedestal is lockable and engineered for maximum protection of receptacles, cords, plugs, breakers. It comes to the construction job site ready to install with no need to assemble individual parts, saving installation time. The dual, heavy-gauge NEMA 3R rainproof enclosures protect against weather, vandalism and nuisance tripping. The unit complies with National Electrical Code and OSHA requirements.

Q:Could I just mount it to a 50 lb pier block instead? perhaps one with a built in post?

A: It is designed for a pad mount application and comes with a bracket to mount free standing. I used as a temporary power source for our RV and mounted to a vertical wood post with wood screws through the back of the box. Keep in mind that the supply wire will need to feed in from the bottom.

A: No water connection in the electrical pedestal, you could adapt it to have water but don’t think water and electricity in the same box would be a good mix.

A: No, this is only a pedestal enclosure for electricity. With the options of 240volt 50 amp, 120volt 30 amp and a 120volt 20 amp GFCI.

A: If you would like a meter box to use with this unit I would suggest ordering the unit that comes included which is GE1LM532PS. This is for tenant use only ….not approved for utility use.
