Not sure why everyone loves them.
Using these for screwing down Advantech subfloor and these screws are NOT self starting. Almost all of them gave me a very hard time starting. I think it may be an issue with the batch because the picture of where the self starting part is does not match the screws I have. The self starting slot is too high on the screws I have so they just don't

NOT suitable for exterior. Mine are all rusting.
25 months ago, in NY, I constructed in PT lumber some outdoor stairs. Removing stairs now and here are the first 14 (not cherry-picked) screws. This is 25 months. 1/14 shows no sign of corrosion. 13/14 showing corrosion, one with severe (threads already starting to "melt"). Note I used GRK from two batches; it was not a bad lot. Hugely disappointed. Will continue using the screws I have only for interior shelving, basement framing, etc. Absolutely not up to the task outdoors.

Not a lot of people stop to write a review about screws but, These things are amazing! I hope Home Depot supplys them forever. The screws are of amazing quality. We just did a Red Ceder Fence and had over 1K+ pickets. We screwed everyone in. We first tried #9 Grip Fast 2inch screws from Menards, they started splitting all our boards. A next store neighbor who use to be a sales rep for Home Depot gave us half a box of these GRK screwes from his fence project last year, we didn't crack a single board. The screws where slightly narrower and sucked into the wood with percision. We had to go out and buy a couple boxes. We Finnished the fence using 95% of these screws. We did end up using the 5% GripFast screws because we couldn't return them but, you can tell where all of those screws are, they are all the boards that have cracks and splits in them at the ends. I sure hope Home Depot keeps these GRK's in their lineup, Plus i do like the actual box they come in, you can store things in them forever including left over screws and it will not break down like your typical cardboard box.
Each box comes with the Star tip bit inside, gotta dig for it, not each box had it ontop, but it is included which was nice over other screws.
The only problem I had is supply of these screws. Currently in my area 55125 on May 4th 2020 is its hard to find GRK screws because they are sold out, or maybe Home Depo is not going to carry them anymore, which would be a shame if they didn't.
I would highly recommend these screws to anyone! Get the Job done right!

The BEST screws!
I was installing 7/16" OSB on my hip ceiling prior to drywalling. I read EVERYTHING on the subject. Though these were the most expensive option for project I knew I'd only be doing this once in my lifetime so I went for it. These screws are amazing! Even just holding one in your hand it's as if you're holding a custom tooled piece of bronze, truly amazing for a screw! It didn't tear the corner of the OSB apart, they drove in easy and STRONG and, the heads countersunk perfectly. I'm a veteran wood worker and have always had buckets of drywall screws around for jigs and what not. Never again. I'll ALWAYS have these in my shop and SOLEY use them for any and all construction projects. they're truly that good and worth every penny. You can say, A screws a screw', but not in this case, These are exceptional and worth every penny!

These are hands down the best screws out there. They do cost 3x more than general construction screws, but that’s because they’re rated for structural work. I still use them for everything though!

Worth every penny. Will never purchase star head for over screws .

My Soliders and I had built about 20 shelves made out of 2x4 one weekend and these screws are by far the best screws I have ever used. They go in so smooth and hardly requires any effort or pilot holes. Only had one bad screw out of the two pails that I had bought. I definitely will buy these for future projects.
The only issue that I had was, I didn't see any pail bigger than the one that I had purchased. Would have liked to have seen a 25 lb bucket.
