    A:  Yes these can be used on horizontal runs as the orientation of the staple itself won't change the way that the cables are held in place. That being said these should be suitable for use on a rafter.

      I will never do another wiring job without these. ...
      I will never do another wiring job without these. They're *that* useful. It takes just a little time to set up where you'll put these (seconds), and a little bit of effort to install them (again, seconds), then you have the ability with a click to reopen these, slide another wire in, and re-close them with a click, moving on. When you come back through with another wire, same thing -- click, slide, click, & move on. Zip ties (not included with these -- I bought those by the bag 1,000 at a time for 8" zip ties) quickly & neatly bundle everything up before inspection. Fantastic product. Worth every cent.

      Had to clip stud reference tab off to have cable...
      Had to clip stud reference tab off to have cable stacker lay flat on flat surfaces but not a big deal. Would like a stacker without the reference tab and another straight through fastener hole rather than one straight and one diagonal. Thx
