Will this work with Genie 3120
Hi Ronald - the Aladdin Connect door position sensor works with the Aladdin Connect Door Control Module, regardless of the opener.
I'd like to hack this to work with a gate (using a magnetic switch). Is it a mechanical switch inside (such as metal ball between two metal contacts)?
No, this will not work on a gate.
Why does my door opener light flash once and turn off immediately when using both the old wall button and the new alladin button and the App? This does not happen when I use the old remote controls.

Will this remote work on a genie model 8028
It's not a remote, it's a position sensor that allow the Genie Aladdin Connect Smart Garage Door Controller to know when the garage door is open or not.
Hi Catherine, This door position sensor will only work if you have an Aladdin Connect RetroFit kit installed. This sensor allows you to add an additional garage door to work with the Aladdin Connect Kit. It is not a garage door opener remote.
Can anyone tell me if this is compatible with a Raynor model # 120-7. I do not see Raynor on the compatibility list, but I know Raynor is made by Lift-master who is on the list. Thanks

The app HISTORY updated correctly, but NOTIFICATIONS have suddenly stopped. Where in fact in the app is the NOTIFICATION 'switch' located, in fact?
Check or replace the transmitter battery - black unit attached to the garage door.
I had the same thing happen, in fact the system "disappeared" from my app. Replacing the battery in the door sensor returned everything to normal operations. And I've found the range the opener will connect and control the door has extended to about one city block instead of having to be right at the door.
This happens a couple times a year. I had WiFi issues until getting a new router, so had frequent issues like yours. However, at times, for no reason other than several months have gone by, the app needs to be reset by entering password. I also always check the settings to make sure notifications are how I like them.
