Product Overview

Dimensions thermoformed panels replicate the look of tin tiles. Our 2 ft. x 4 ft. faux tin panels are available in a matte white styrene which you can install as-is in white, or inexpensively paint any color to match your decor. This allows you to achieve the same look as metal panels for a fraction of the cost. Time is also saved with the ease of installation because they are light weight and easy to work with, simply glue-up to walls, ceilings or backsplashes, and cut effortlessly with a scissors. Our panels are ready to install right out of the box, unlike tin ceiling tiles which need to be painted to prevent rusting, making these a perfect choice for your next DIY project. Why use more of your valuable time and money when you can save, and it's impossible to tell the difference after installation with six designs and five available colors, you're sure to find something you like. In addition to matte white; brass, bronze, nickel and copper are also available. Plus, you have the ability to paint our panels, giving you an individual touch that no one can recreate. We've noticed the specialty finishes such as 'hammered' or 'metallic' spray paints turn out stunning. You're only limited by your imagination. This design has a 6 in. repeat pattern and looks good in small or large areas.
  • Easy glue up to any solid surface such as walls, ceilings, and backsplashes without nailing
  • 2 ft. x 4 ft. panels overlap with the next panel, showing no visible seams once installed
  • Cuts with scissors or a knife and are easy to work with, perfect for DIY projects
  • Solid copper color throughout the panel, for an easy to clean finish that lasts
  • Install in T-grid system by refacing your old ugly 2x2/2x4 tiles creating a fresh new look, panels need to be cut down for 15/16 in. T-grid installation, see installation instructions
  • Durable panels resist dents and scratches and clean easily with soapy water
  • Class A fire resistant
  • Available in 6 designs and 5 colors, and can be painted, to be sure you find look that suits your needs

Can these be used in place of existing 2x4 drop ceiling tiles?

whats the best adhesive to install these on a plywood ceiling

Asked by jznboys May 16, 2020

Answer

Hello, Powergrab by Loctite (all purpose or heavy duty) is our recommended adhesive to install these panels. Over plywood - we would recommend painting it first with a primer so the glue sticks well and any dark spots (knots) don't shadow through the tiles.

Do I have to buy a whole box?? I only need two pieces!

Asked by Peachie April 12, 2020

Answer

Hello, These are sold by the piece. 1 piece is 2'x4' or 8 square feet. You do not need to buy in certain quantities, you just need to enter in the number of panels you need in your cart.

CAN THIS BE PLACED ON TOP OF SHEETROCK?

Asked by Nana October 28, 2018
1
Answer

The sheetrock needs to be primed (this helps prevent issues from glue sticking because of drywall dust) but yes they're intended to be glued to almost any solid flat substrate.

how many tiles would i need for a 12 x 12 ceiling.

Asked by katysbyrd September 20, 2018

Answer

The panels are 8 sq. ft. each - you have 144 sq. ft. so you would need 18 panels. Typically we do recommend 1-2 extra just in case a mistake is made.

Can crown molding be used or is the profile too deep to be caulked for a smooth look?

Asked by Efs September 10, 2018
1
Answer

A crown molding could be use. The size of the molding type would be best determined by the size of the room. In a smaller room you may want to use a small type of molding than crown.

can these be used under an outside patio cover?

Asked by randy April 9, 2018

Answer

Hello, Yes they can be as long as they aren't in contact with direct sunlight. (This causes premature fading).

I don't think you could cut it with scissors if it was thicker. We put it up with 2 sided tape to fit before we adhered it to the wall. I am still deciding if I am keeping it. The price I got the lighter sheets was 18.and change. That I would spend again but the 36.00 for a 2 by 4 sheet is to steep for the quality. Paint colors are changing don't judge, lol

looks good, easy to use
We bought it as a backsplash for our kitchen. We painted it silver and pasted it on with liquid nails. It is easy to cut and made the job simple

Looks ok, but not the 'shiny copper' it proclaims to be....REALLY thin, and needs to be mounted on a ceiling tile to keep it from sagging (some 3m spray adhesive on to an existing clean ceiling tile helped). Packaging doesn't prevent it from getting bent, and it put visible creases that discolor the surface..... Not bad, but NOT great. Would be LOTS better if they sold this in the store.

Perfect for what I needed to cover over outdated backsplash without having to tear it all out!
Very easy to work with. I had to cut it down to cover the area I needed, but it was very easy to cut! I painted over it too. Now it looks like it was meant to be there - not that it is covering up something old and outdated!! We are doing a make over in our one and only bathroom and I wanted to keep the feel of the home - a 1907 Victorian farmhouse. This faux tile did the trick!!!! Very inexpensive in cost but it looks expensive! A whole lot cheaper than a total gut job!!!!!
