What size star drive do I need?

Why isn't this information on the site under the product details? Or even on the site anywhere? If you are trying to do an online order, it is kind of difficult to place a COMPLETE order if you don't have all the information. If I had time to come in and meander around the store that would be one thing, but when I am wanting to order online, I obviously want to be able to come in, pick up and go.
Asked by: Jay
Hi Jay, It's nothing to get up tight about. Screws come in standard phillips head. If not I found that they put the appropriate torx, or square adaptor etc. right in the box. BTW I order online all the time.

Can i screw 1/2 plywood to 3/4 subflooring with these screws
Asked by: kent
If trying to just screw to the subfloor 1-1/4” is perfect. If trying to hit the hoist or stud below then you would need a 2-1/2” to get enough grab to hold through expansion and contraction of hot and cold.

1-1/4 in. Construction Screw is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 51.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from works fine. dont over torque. Works fine screwing down plywood over plank sub floors. Don't over tourque them, they will easily strip wood. The bit design doesn't allow it to be driven unless it's perfectly aligned. Wish they would include more bits in the box as screws started to wobble off of the screw gun after a hundred or so.

I used these to anchor floating shelves to the wall mount. It was a bit overkill but they worked great and are holding very secure. I keep boxes of these screws in an array of sizes because I like them so much
