Questions & Answers

How do I install framed art 24x36 over this. 5-20lbs? Typically I just use gorilla / monkey hooks or standard brass picture hangers.

You should be able to use whatever you would normally use to install the artwork over the panels but we would recommend using liquid nails in addition to the 2 sided tape to make sure that section is 100% secure before hanging the artwork.

Is there any way I can purchase a sample to make sure it's the exact color I'm looking for?

We will send them free, please email the shipping address to arinehimer@grosfillex.com...

KayKat

Do you need the trim to install? We chose the brown and oddly there is no trim pack for the available at HD? What would be some other options for edges and corners?

You do not need the trim to install. You can finish the corners/top/bottom with any type of trim - quarter round, baseboard, crown molding etc...

There are subtle shades of beige on most of the white panels. If you would like samples please send address to arinehimer@grosfillex.com.

Awesome Wall Paneling

My office remodel came out great. The panels were easy to install, i used the supplied adhesive pads as well as Liquid Nail. At first I tried to cut the panels with a utility knife but it was very difficult to cut and to get a straight line. I used a table saw with an 80 tooth finishing blade and made perfect cuts. I tried to vary the length of cuts to avoid repeating patterns on the wall. I used 4 boxes to cover the wall shown and I unboxed all of them and separated them by color and pattern so I could place them with the dark boards somewhat separated so I didn't have a large patch of the same color panels and tried to spread repeating patterns out. The supplied adhesive pads are very very sticky and difficult to get off once the panel is placed on the wall. I would suggest to not put the adhesive pads close to the edge so you can place the panel in the tongue/groove of the top panel and position it without the pad touching the wall, then press in firmly. I started at the top corner of the wall and worked my way down the wall to the bottom. I had about an 1/4" gap at the bottom of the wall and I was able to rip long strips with the table saw with ease. I would use these again and recommend them. Now to add a TV to the center of the wall.

Great looking wall panels

I remodeled my home office and used these Grey Resin decorative wall panels. It looks great. I would recommend you use an 80tooth saw to cut these for a fine cut. I used a table saw and cut some with variable lengths so I wouldn't have the same cut pattern across the wall. It is very difficult to cut them with a utility knife. I would definitely use these again, very easy to install.

Love this product. It looks great and is easy to work with. I agree with other reviews stating you need a jigsaw or other saw to cute. Tried cutting with a brand new utility knife and it was time consuming and difficult. Used a jigsaw and was super easy. Based on reviews we opted to use the tape and skip using additional adhesive or liquid nails. We put it up last night and so far it’s holding great! So far I have no complaints and plan to use the product again as soon as more is available.

We wanted to give our TV room a little more style, and like the way this turned out. I used a 10" compound miter saw with an 80t finishing blade, and it cut the product cleanly (no splintering), but my saw wasn't big enough to cut the entire width of the planks.. it was only shy 1/2", which was a bummer, because I had to flip the board over, and try to get the alignment perfect to cut that last 1/2". I got pretty good at that, but a bigger saw would have obviously been much better. If you have a lot of small pieces, you will go through the tape too fast, and run out. I had to start rationing the tape by cutting it in half, and using less on some boards. The product is really stuck well, and isn't going anywhere. The tounge/groove design will help the product stay up as well. Cutting planks length-wise is a bit of a pain, I clamped a metal yardstick to the planks, and used a sharp utility knife, but it required a lot of cuts, and didn't always snap off cleanly. Luckily, you only need to do this around windows/doors, and on the last boards installed (I started at the top, so my last boards were at the baseboard). It was easy to cut the product with a jigsaw for the more intricate cuts around angled window trim and outlet openings. I used most of three boxes on my project, took my time, and it took about 8 hours start to finish working alone. I probably could have knocked it out in three hours with a helper and if I moved a little faster, but I enjoyed the process. Peeling the tape backing off is a bit of a pain (there's a LOT of tape), but I got really good at using the sharp point of a utility knife to flick up a corner, then press it against the blade with my thumb to peel it off. Overall, we think the new wall treatment looks great, it was economical, and easy to install.

Great stuff, but use a Dremal to cut it.

Looks great. Easy to install, but not so easy to cleanly cut. If you want to make easy, clean, straight, precision cuts, and not totally waste panels, then use a Dremal (or similar vibration cutting tool) with a half-round drywall blade. You will save time and panels, and have excellent results. Trust me on this, I tried a jigsaw with fine blade, Milwaukee compact cutoff tool with fine blade for plastic, and a variety of other cutting tools one would think would work well, all with disastrous frustrating results. Save yourself a lot of grief and no wasting of materials by using a Dremal or similar fine vibration cutting tool with drywall half-rounded blade.

I am so happy with this product, easy to install, and with the tongue and groove makes a nice tight fit. I am over 65 and with the help of another 65 year old woman we did a 14'x8' wall in about 4 hours. Triming the panels or cutting to size was very easy with a sharp utility knife, then just snap it, also had two electric sockets to go around and we did pretty good with that also. I mixed the brown with the ash grey and love how it turned out. I used liquid nails on some panels and double sided tape on the others, no reason for that, but both are still holding tight. My friend loved it so much she wants to do a wall in her house. I will enjoy this wall for years to come.

Everything looks good and is easy to install but I couldn’t install it right away because it lies in the box. I look everywhere and the tape wasn’t in there so i end up spending an extra $30 per box in tape so i can install it.
