For removing surface leaves and debris, this heavy-duty skimmer is designed with an extra-strength aluminum inner core for maintaining its shape throughout the life of the skimmer. The close-mesh net has enough slack to gather a healthy load of leaves. The close-mesh weave ensures a clean capture so smaller debris doesn't fall back into the water through the net. The perimeter PVC rim protects the pool wall, steps, or any surface from scratches or scuffs.

For surface touch ups of floating leaves and debris, this leaf skimmer measures over 1 in. Wide and 22 in. high to provide an ample surface area for capturing leaves
Foundational core of the skimmer is constructed with heavy-duty aluminum to support the capture of large loads of leaves and debris and to ensure the skimmer maintains its shape

A: The net on this skimmer consists of a mesh with gaps of approximately 1.5 mm. It is best suited for leaves and debris, rather than fine particles.

A: This is a standard size handle which fits a standard pole using the usual plastic push in spring to attach to the pole( through the 2 holes in pole handle)

Perfect condition as expected. We've been using it for a couple of weeks and so much easier than smaller weaker nets. Very heavy duty than standard skimmer nets. Takes no time at all to clear anything in the water and we have very large trees on 2 sides of our property always dropping leaves etc...

Gets the job done

I have been using this skimmer at my gunfire pool with good results.It is of aluminum construction with a heavy plastic outer rim to prevent scratching etc on the pool surface (if you have a liner I am guessing). It has held up well. When I installed it on the handle however, the black plastic plug dislodged and is somewhere in my pole handle, never to be seen again. This is not critical, but it did keep the rough edge protected. My only other concern is the screws which keep the rim and handle in place as I cannot comment on their durability. I wish the net was cut neatly rather than sticking out where the rim meets the handle. Sloppy finishing. I do recommend this skimmer, however, as it gets the job done and the few things mentioned should not bother most people at all.

Adequate for Light Duty Use

I have just used this net for the first time, so my observations are a first impression. The first thing I noticed is that the neck of the frame is fabricated from metal, which suggests greater durability than one made of plastic. However, the skimmer pin connector would not catch on the second hole of my skimmer pole, so it stood proud of the pole by about 3”, leaving only about another 3” of the metal neck sitting inside the pole to provide support (see picture). When sweeping the net through the water to gather debris, I noticed the net bend backwards slightly against the water pressure. This causes me some concern that over a period of extended used, it will break, particularly if it is prone to abuse (for example, using it to retrieve or push something heavy, which speaking for myself I will admit I have been guilty of doing on rare occasion). Otherwise, the net seems to be reasonably well made, with a fine mesh that will capture most debris, and it is easily inserted into a standard pool pole (see pictures). I think it is a reasonable value for the price paid, and would recommend it to pool users for light duty cleaning.
