Must replace top!
We have had this for less than 90 days and are having major issues. The top is cupping and coming off of the base completely. One side is worse than the other, but the top does not appear to be dried correctly. Purchased a moisture meter to test just waiting for it to come in and will add results later.

Not Happy
I purchased my breakfast bar back in November 2022 and until now i was very happy with my purchase that is until now when i noticed that my wooden top is warping upward you can see from the pictures there is quite a gap. I am not happy about that and feel this is unacceptable i feel like when spending this kind of money this problem should not happen and i hope the warping is not getting worse. I can see when looking on the internet on the reviews and comment i am not the only one with this problem and i can't recommend this product yes it looks very nice but it's not built to last and i would like to see this rectified.

Perfect
I am impressed by the quality of the product. and the finish of the wood. I’d call it cream not off white though. It’s packaged wonderfully. Super easy to assemble with one extra bolt and screw per hardware item. Hex Wrench is included so no extra tools needed and the instructions are easy to follow. I think I’m going to change the knobs to an antique cast iron. My husband is impressed by my build.

Once I got past the frustration with the UPS delivery system and people's inability to track a missing box, I was very pleased with the kitchen island itself.
The Monarch kitchen island is everything I had hoped for. It is attractive, highly functional, and strong, heavy design.
Assembly took just a few hours. One person can do it, but like many things, two make it easier.
The Home Depot price is exceptional. I was surprised at the quality for the cost; some carts are priced for as much.
A competitor, online furniture source is exhibiting the identical island (though not called Monarch) for 50% more and that is after discounting it 40% from the "list" price.

Granite top was the icing on the cake! We are pleasantly surprised and happy with this purchase, perfect size for small kitchen in need of a table and cabinet space. We have been pricing and looking at islands with chairs for over a year. The price was so much less than the ones we were looking at and this one is Beautiful and Sturdy. Enough room for 2 people to sit and eat comfortably, good amount of storage. The color is NOT the average kitchen white like it shows, however we had seen it elsewhere and knew that it wasn't. It is more of a creamy white with a bit of distressing on the drawers, doors and posts. The granite top came in a box that had been re-tapped at least 5 times and beat up to a unrecognizable state, leading us to think the top was shattered. To our surprise it was perfect because of the incredible packaging. The other boxes were in great shape. We almost did not buy it because people complained about broken tops, misaligned drill holes, etc. We did not have to re-drill any holes anywhere. EASY install. The top rail above the 2 drawers, if put on upside down, will look like the drill holes are misaligned by 1/2", flip it end to end - works fine. Hint: Do not tighten screws and bolts until the section you are working on is completely together. Then square everything up and tighten it up. Makes everything fit much better.

This was is a nice island after it is put together.
Note: This is an antique white not white. Also, the wood is more of a cherry color.
This will take you around 5 - 6 hours to put together. It will require two people to put it together due to the heaviness of the product. Majority of the product is real wood which makes it very sturdy. Overall I love the island.
Only issue is the drawers are hard to pull out. We are going to try and adjust the alignment of the rails and see if that helps. However, the rails are already on the pieces when they were delivered.
