AnswersYes, solid wood. And yes it could be sanded and stained, however, the wood does have grain to it, so you'd have to sand it smooth

AnswersHi, my husband and I assembled the cabinet ourselves...we help each other figure things out and keep each other calm! I'm not sure the company can send it assembled, but maybe Home Depot could help by suggesting someone who would come to your home. They hire subcontractors that might do that. Or maybe go online and check out Home Advisor, Angie's List, etc. I wish I could give you a better answer, but hopefully this helps.

AnswerThank you for your inquiry. There are two measurements for the open space. The open area above the wine rack is 11 ¼ W x 13 ¼ D x 10 H. Each space in the rack is 3 ½ W x 13 ¼ D x 3 ½ H and if the rack is removed the area is 11 ¼ W x 13 ¼ D x 11 H. Behind the doors: 13 ½ W x 9 D x 17 ½ H

AnswersHi! These are approximate-10 1/2 inches x 12 inches (measured from outside edge). They are 3 inches deep. The cabinet looks pure white in the picture, but is actually cream, in case the color matters.

Great quality but definitely not white
Similarly to the other review, this item is such a great quality but definitely not white. I would describe it as more of a taupe, which was not what we were expecting and honestly, I was disappointed. The item is very well made and sturdy so we just kept it, but if you are looking for a crisp white buffet this is very much not it.

Nice piece but the color is not as advertised!
Very easy to assemble, nice quality and perfect for our area. However, the color is nowhere near "white"... it's like a very light mocha, not even off white... 3 stars because I now have to paint it "white". We almost sent it back but it was the right size and look we wanted plus the quality was there.

"Under Construction" HD is our life! I wish I could post more than one picture! We bought this Buffet and also bought the buffet and hutch. Our home has been under MAJOR REMODEL, and we have relied on Home Depot for everything for our 6 month project, and it is such a profound pleasure to pursue finishes and finishing touches with Home Decorators Collection! Love your staff too!
If I could post the picture of what's on the other buffet we ordered:) it has some fun stuff on it...also, paperwork on the buffet are owner's manuals for ceiling fans we purchased through HD too!
P.S. notice the Jordan 30 in Gray Wash Cushioned Bar Stools from HomeDepot.com at the new wetbar! ...and the mystery new Yosemete Home Decor Ettenbough Collection Natural and Grey Sideboard with barn doors on the front from HomeDepot.com...behind the mirror.
Oh, and three HomeDepot.com Disc 1-Light Brushed Nickel Mini Pendant lights are being installed above the new web bar! (a fourth one was installed over our kitchen island). You can see it in the reflection in the mirror. Oh, the faucet on the wetbar, not installed yet, is from HD too!

Oh, BTW, we bought your Lauren White Buffet and Hutch from HomeDepot.com too, but it's a brighter white than these. These buffet/hutches with wine storage are gorgeous and perfect, but they are more cream or eggshell than bright white. We had to use the in our laundry room and it looks beautiful with our 60 x 4.5 in White Mantle Floating Wall Shelf! (two items under the tree with the silver bows:)

Wonderful buffet!
This was a wonderful addition to my dining room! I put it together by myself (whilst caring for my kids and taking a break for dinner) and it took me about 3 hours total (including dinner). Directions were very clear, too. I gave it four stars because one of the legs was broken upon delivery (a bit of wood glue fixed it up just dandy) and its more of an off-white or even gray than a true white. Thankfully, it matched the room just perfectly anyway!

Nice, sturdy piece of furniture. Heavy assembly required.
Awesome piece of furniture! Very sturdy construction. Lots of storage! Only negative is that you have to assemble the entire thing. Nothing is already assembled. Several of the steps during assembly really require an extra set of hands to accomplish, but can be done by one person. Other than that I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Looks great, could be better quality.
While the final product looks good and the dimensions are true to the specifications the quality is only so-so. The wooden worktop is substantial though the cabinets underneath could benefit from some more heft. The product was either packaged poorly or handled incorrectly so a few pieces were slightly damaged (mostly split wood) though this did not affect any visible areas or the overall integrity of the product. The product came with an ample supply of nuts/bolts/screws and I'm slightly concerned that I have so many left over... One word of warning - this certainly requires upwards of two people to assemble as I struggled to do this on my own due to the size of the piece and complexity of the project, though the instructions were mostly clear and easy to follow.
