We cannot guarantee the quality of the milling finish on the backside or that it will install flat with the beaded face applied to the wall. A: Hello KJ2017, thank you for your inquiry. Vapour barrier is recommended for areas that are exposed to extremely high moisture such as saunas and bathrooms. You can paint this material and apply in a kitchen application, but if being used as a backsplash we would recommend sealing all exposed raw wood to limit moisture absorption and expansion.

These boards have a beautiful grain and are almost free of knots. Very easy to work with and cut...

These boards have a beautiful grain and are almost free of knots. Very easy to work with and cut. Used a brad nailer on the tongue side to hide the nail hole and had no splitting. We ended up priming/painting all the boards, however, I imagine any stain would look very nice.
