AnswersFor ease of inserting into base and hand rail they give you a round top, if you keep full length. The square edge helps lock into your round hole at bottom to prevent movement with adhesive assistance

AnswersDepends on the type of install. If the install is for new stairs, you could get away without a bezel or shoe if you install the balusters during the staircase construction.

Nice product for the money. Used as accent pieces which matched very well. Actually ended up installing more because we chose a different spacing sequence to purposely use more. I'd have given 5 stars if there were different pre-cut lengths available.

Nice quality, smooth finish
Great quality and made our railing look less boring. Just a note, the finish in these is smoother than the finish on the straight ones home depot has in stores. Its not really noticable from a few feet away but if its something that would bother you, make sure to buy straight ones from house off forgings as well.
