Very good product that is easy to install. I did need to remove the louvers for my particular installation and use an additional bracket but it wasn't anything that was hard to accomplish. The power is good for my garage and with exhaust fans, I always go larger than recommended so I can be fully satisfied.

Very powerful heavy duty
I'm using this fan in a 1000 sf unfinished attic with an unvented roof. It can get easily get to 110F in the summer in this storage space. The gable vents really aren't enough so I installed this $255 hessaire fan.
Its heavy duty aluminum louvers and frame with a heavy motor. Moves a lot of air. Maybe more than i need!

Need larger opening if installing from the outside.
I installed this from the outside of a CMU block wall. I had to cut a larger opening than 12.5'x12.5' because the fan cage is wider than 12.5' diameter. More like 13.5'x13.5' opening. Also, the fan speeds do not seem to do anything. All three speeds are about the same. That did not matter to me, the fan is working as I need it to, and I am only using the "high" speed. The only bummer was having to redo the opening, as I had already prepped the opening before the fan arrived based on my deadline and the install specs listed on this web site. The specs should indicate front or back mounting opening size.
The fan is solid construction, and was simple to install.
Note: It is very important to have a secondary free-air vent of the same or larger size to allow this fan to draw the heat from the space. This thing moves the air as desired and is reasonably quiet.

The fan was mounted on an exterior wall above our barbecue to exhaust fumes from the patio. The patio has a low ceiling resulting in a thick cloud of smoke in a small area prior to installing the fan. Now, even with a west wind blowing against the fan, we can enjoy smoke free outdoor cooking. The fan has an understandable noise while running which is an acceptable alternative.
