Q:My application is to install towel hangers in my shower stall. I have standard tile, 3/8 and then 1/2 backer board. Are they long enough?

Answer This Question

A:  Hello, We are unable to give project specific advice. A longer screw may be necessary as the 1-3/16" screw will not leave much material for expansion into the cavity though we can't know for sure if this solution is best for your specific project. Please consult a local contractor if you're still unsure. Thank you for your inquiry.

Q:Description says holes need to be drilled 2x deeper than length of anchors but supplied screws are not 2x length of anchors, so how would they be long enough?

    Answer This Question

A:  Hello Abel, I believe it has to do with whether it is going into a solid surface or not. If it is a solid surface, you need an area for the drill dust to sit so the anchor can fully seat. You don’t need to do it if is a hollow surface. Thank you!

Terrible product. The first one I tried, in the recommended hole size came apart in the wall. I threw the rest of them away.

I've used these before, and never disappoint me. I just need to also purchase other sizes to have on hand. These will always be my go to anchors. There's nothing about them that I dislike.

Wish they provided a better quality drill bit for the price but the anchors are great.
