Never stops turning
I got this to replace another valve that I thought was getting close to the end of its life. Now that I've replaced it I fear that this valve won't last very long either. When opening or closing, the valve handle flexes quite a bit due to the plastic internal components, and if you turn it with any force it will keep on turning forever! The threads are weak, so instead of hitting a hard stop it just keeps on turning. On the bright side, it hasn't leaked yet, but it's weak construction does not give me much confidence in it. I would recommend getting a quarter turn valve instead of one of these multi-turn valves. The quarter turn valves have hard stops at both fully open and fully closed, and they always feel much more solid in construction.
Decent valve
Tried a Homewerks compression inlet valve with 3/8" compression fitting. It is lighter than many valves that I have used before and it has some plastic parts. Made in China, I feel the metal is not as strong or dense as some other valves that HD sells. I chose not to install this valve during my bathroom install, instead opting for a 1/4 turn instead of the multiple turn models. I will save this for my aging toilet valve in the basement. Should be fine for most uses.
Good quality valve
Usually with plumbing I like to stick to brands I trust and have used many times before. This comp valve is definitely just as good quality as any other competitor out there. And I’ve used just about every brand out there. Installation is just as simple as any other comp valve and has some good quality olives on both ends for 3/8 and 1/2. I used it for a bathroom sink install and it works great. Smooth turns and no leaks. Even the rubber ring inside that shuts off the water looks to be good quality. The knob is plastic but that’s ok before just about every other company has the same thing now. It’s not hard replacing a compression valve but I have some special tools to do it fast. So I guess depending on someone’s experience is what makes this easy or hard to do. But this valve is great quality all brass and looking forward to see if homewerks will be competing with others.

Very high quality valve
This is one well machined, well polished valve. The manufacturer did a phenomenal job making sure that all edges are tapered off in the right angle all across the circumference of the compression joint, that there are no imperfections, folded lips or burrs from the machining process. In terms of quality, it is the same if not better than alternatives on the market that are priced twice as much. The compression rings are precisely malleable to be able to form a perfect seal around the pipe. I installed several of those, some on pipes that maybe I should have replaced and every time I had a very good seal with minimal to no other work on the joint, other than just cleaning and deburring the pipe, making sure the contact surfaces are free from small particles and just hand tighten with a couple of wrenches. The body of the valve allows for a good grip with adjustable wrench and is thick enough to put a little pressure on it without worrying about damaging it. On some occasions I used some PTFE paste just to allow for better lubrication during tightening. Maybe unnecessary, but it allowed to me more precisely establish the point where the ring starts crushing and forming the seal. I felt that this was necessary on older pipes where you don't want to overtighten the joint. Those were my only steps that I took and I never has a leaking joint with this valve or leak through the packing. The retaining screw on the handle is stainless and the chrome plating all across is done very well. It takes between 2.5 to 2.75 turns to completely close and has nitrile bushing for valve plug surface. HD carries the bushing size and packing, so you can repair the valve if desperately needed, but given the price, I'd say it would be an easy replacement to just remove and reinstall a new valve. The stem is plastic I am not sure if PEX or HDPE but will definitely last a long time. Excellent product at even better price.

Easy replacement for broken shut off
The old valve got very hard to turn with age until it got so bad that I broke the shutoff handle trying to close the valve. I guess it just got corroded and didn't want to turn even though it is only about 15 years old. this new valve uses a plastic shaft so hopefully it won't seize like the old one. Changing these isn't hard but does entail shutting off the water line and draining the rest of the water out of the line so it can be a bit messy. The original house plumbing has expanded flairs so I reused the original nut and didn't need the ferrule for my application. For the 3/8" side, I reused the existing flexible sink line too.

Great shut off valve
This Homewerks angle shut off valve 1/2 inch x 3/8 inch compression fitting is the go to choice for plumbers and contractors. It easily installs under kitchen and bathroom sinks as well as a shut off valve for a toilet. The Homewerks brand is an excellent choice for a leak free installation. This 1/2 inch x 3/8 inch shut off valve only installs on 1/2 inch copper pipe.

Nicely built
This is a very well made compression inlet/outlet valve. The important thing about compression valves is not to over tighten the nuts on the compression rings. If you do, you can actually create a leak where it would have been OK had it not been tightened down too much. This is especially true with the softer copper pipes. I also like that this unit uses a plastic stem and inside seals because they won't corrode like some of the metal ones do. I think it will last a long time and will also turn after long periods of inactivity.

Nice new valve
I purchased an add-on Bidet for one of our toilets and decided to update the plumbing at the same time. I have an old valve with a line as part of the valve assembly, but wanted to swap it out twit a new valve and separate braided line. I installed and added teflon tape just to ensure no leaks. I was a simple replacement for this purpose and worked well. It looks much cleaner than the original set up.

Great Valve
The Homewerks Worldwide 1/2 inch nominal compression inlet and 3/8 inch outer diameter compression outlet is great for our toilet valve fitting. The multi-turn valve functions smoothly. It is chrome and made very durable. The valve is at a 90 degree angle which makes attaching the hose easy. Homewerks valves are durable and functional and they serve my need. I would recommend this valve to friends and family.
