This fireproof chest is excellent for the small valuables and documents, along with many types of digital media. Perfect size to fit into any area in your home or office. Honeywell safes are backed by an industry leading 7-year limited warranty. In the event of a fire the contents will be protected but the chest itself will likely be damaged. AnswerDear Valued HomeDepot Customer, We reached out to the MFG for more information and below is their response. "The internal diminsions are 13.1" W x 8.5"D x 3.7" H. Therefore your laptop would not fit. Further, as a Fire Safe with insulation that contains some water there may be some condensation that might negatively impact your computer. For this reason, we would recommend you not store your laptop in a fire safe, but rather in a security safe. Our recommendation wouyld be Model 5105"

Exactly what I needed. I had returned two other chests bought at other places because the keys were awful one of them didn’t even have a real key. One of them I could not even open. This one has real keys and I can open it easily. This one is a keeper
