    A:  The preset factory user code is 3 *. Step 1.Enter the factory preset code and you will see the LED light turn green. Step 2.Turn the Open/Close knob ¼ turn to the left (counterclockwise) and open the lid. Step 3.To program a new code, press the red reset button on the right side of the battery box.The LED light will flash Orange.Step 4.Enter a new code (up to 5 digits), followed by the * key and repeat a second time. Example: 1 -2 -3 -4 -5 -*-1 -2 -3 -4 -5 -*. After the first set the LED will flash orange and after the second it will flash green indicating that you have successfully reprogrammed the code

        Ease and compact nature of this safety box.
        The safety box is compact and easy to use. It has a master key in case you lose the code to open the box. It’s small enough to fit on a shelf somewhere obscure but with enough room to store important documents, cash or jewelry.

          Worst safe ever
          I have tried this safe on multiple occasions because I like the idea of no key. However out of 6 safes, all broke. Some, the lock simply did not work. Others the lock would get stripped easily making it useless. Some were dead on arrival. I suppose Honeywell does not believe in quality control. Stay away from.

            Lock Broken
            I had this safe for about 6 months before the twist lock portion stripped and became completely non-functional. Home Depot was no help with replacement parts. Just pick a different safe.

              Came broken. Home Depot was little help.
              I just bought this product, and it worked ok with the keys but the digital function did not. To make matters worse it failed with some of my items locked in it. Hope Depot customer service was little help. All in all I do not recommend Honeywell products or Home Depot as a distributor after this experience.
