Q:Can the distance that these spray be turned down to 2' ?

Answer This Question

A:  Thanks for your question about the Hunter 4A Adjustable Arc nozzle! The nozzle has a small, straight slot screw on the top that is used to turn down the flow through the nozzle when it is used with the gray filter screen. As the flow decreases, the radius too will decrease. We normally suggest that for optimum perform the radius should be decreased no more than 25%, which would make it down to 3'. However, many customers have found the nozzle to be reduced in radius even farther, with little to no difference in overall performance. Please feel free to contact us if you have additional questions. Thanks for choosing Hunter products!

Q:How much water will one Hunter 10A pro spray throw in litres per minute?

    Answer This Question

A:  Thanks for your question about the water usage for the Hunter 10A Adjustable Arc spray nozzle. The flow rate varies based on the degrees of arc that it’s open, and on the height of the radius adjustment screw in the center of the nozzle. If you look at our performance charts, all the flow and radius information is shown when the screw is at the wide-open position. Please see the charts below, then contact us with any questions. Thanks for using Hunter products!

Q:I need something that will work with a 1/2 inch diameter riser do these heads fit that size?

      Answer This Question

A:  Thanks for your question regarding the Hunter Pro-Adjustable Spray Nozzle! The nozzles have a special, female thread pattern that allows them to be installed onto a popup sprinkler that installs on ½” male threaded riser, or you could use a Shrub adapter that installs on a ½” male threaded riser, then install the adjustable arc nozzle on top.

Q:How do you adjust the pattern?

        Answer This Question

A:  Thanks for your question regarding the Hunter 10A spray nozzles! The arc pattern for the spray is fully adjustable from 0-360 by turning the top portion of the nozzle, while holding the bottom part of the nozzle. If you need to decrease the radius/distance that it is spraying, use a flat blade screwdriver and turn it clockwise while holding the top portion of the nozzle. Thanks for using Hunter products! Please let us know if we can be of help in any way.

It was a pretty easy fix. Weedwacker damaged black base of nozzle but not threads on stem. Dig a bit of soil to expose cap of sprinkler. Twist off top cap and keep track of white and black O rings and spring when disassemble. Lift up stem with needle nose carefully and hold in hand. Place spring, black ring, white ring over stem into the body. Then put larger black cap over stem never letting stem to go down and twist all parts back into place. Then still holding stem up twist off old red nozzle if still on and place filter and screw on tightly nozzle. Rotate ratchet stem to right position. Let stem down and twist red top to left desired endpoint. If you were lucky might just lift stem up with needle nose and remove old nozzle and filter and replace. When test with water if shoots water bottom stem push down stem couple times remove debris.

It works well. However, I prefer the old way of having a static coverage vs. this. It is also 10X the cost.

Does an excellent job, waters how I want and where I want to properly without an issue. I recommend them highly for anyone that would needs them for small areas, I'm using them for a garden area as I don't want to use a soaker hose.

I’ve been using this brand for a few years. These sprinkler heads work well most of the time. Unfotunately, sometimes they don’t spray as intended. I usually purchase more than one to make sure I have one that works.
