Wood Handle Comfort Grip Garden Rake
This is a long wooden handle garden rake with a large 16 tine rake head. The soft grip on the handle is comfortable to use. The rake head feels securely connected to the handle. It is a very sturdy handle, and the rake feels solid when using it. It is two tines wider than my old rake, and I like the extra width. I’m quite happy with this nice new garden rake.

Husky 16-Tines Long Wood Handle Garden Bow Rake with Grip
The Husky 16-Tines Long Wood Handle Garden Bow Rake with Grip Model # 77105-942 is a new product from the HUSKY brand. It’s a commonly used metal garden bow rake. It’s used by professional landscapers and homeowners in various projects. You can use the rake to remove small rocks if you’re preparing your yard for new grass seed or sod. I like turning the rake upside down to smooth out my freshly tilled vegetable garden. Husky supports this product with a Lifetime Warranty.

Heavy Strong Fiberglass Handle. Easy to Use Double Sided Rake. Great for all around use. Heavy uniform thick slightly rough handle w/ black finish that provides good gripping. Rubber feeling cushion provides added grip for pulling and pushing. Two piece brace securely attaches in wood handle with tight ferrule and single fastener. Tines thick and strong. Easily handles crushed stone. Tine angles well set for pulling w/ long thin tines and pushing w/ short nubs. Rake is great for grading dirt. Rake is on the heavy side. Handle is plenty long and strong. Under pressure first place to give is the braces, not of any concern though as they are solidly welded to tines. After a few weeks of DIY yard landscape use, this Husky Long Handle Made in Brazil Lifetime Warranty Rake easily meets expectations. Expect rake to last many years w/ minimal care.

Double side 16 tine bow rake Fiberglass Handle With cushion Grip by Husky i like that it is black color, fiberglass handle with steel 16 tine bow rake and soft grip handle. I like the fiberglass handle tools better than the wooden handled tools because the fiberglass handles are more stronger than the wood handles. also, they are lighter. This Husky double side 16 tine bow rake is the perfect tool for taking my rock bed landscape to smooth even level on either side of rake. I like that it has a lifetime warranty

If you are reading this review and you are shopping for a good quality, well built, sturdy rake, in my opinion this is a GREAT option and without hesitation, is my suggestion. First ignore in the description where it says it’s a “eucalyptus hardwood handle” it’s fiberglass (see pix). It has an interesting weld attaching the blade to the fork. There fork goes through the blade and flattened and welded on the outside, I think it has merit. I love having the two tine options with this rake, it’s one of those things you didn’t know you had a use for but it’s a great added benefit. One side of the head features the standard row of 16 long steel tines. The other side of the head features a row of 16 short and wide steel tines which spread dirt/mulch evenly. I think it was more helpful rather than the normal flat back. And it has a Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty.

This fiberglass bow rake is light weight and easy to maneuver. I like the the fact that the typical flat leveling surface has short bumpy grooves/teeth in it to help with those stubborn pieces of dirt or rocks that need to be relocated. The usual longer teeth on the opposite side are a good length/thickness to loosen the soil. My old rake had a straight surface on the back end of the business side. It was adequate, but I do appreciate the extra detail in the Husky model that lets you choose between the two scraping surfaces as needed. I believe this rake is adequate for your back yard and occasional light duty work. I think if you try to use it in an industrial daily professional environment, it might snap as it does not seem extremely strong nor intended for extended continual use. I like fiberglass handles as wood over time becomes hazardous to the bare hand.

When I decided to replace my old rake, I found the perfect substitute – a double sided one! Many years and multiple houses ago, I purchased a shovel, a rake and a wheelbarrow. I now have multiple shovels and wheelbarrows – with two front wheels but still only had one bow rake. Looking closely at the bent tines, tells that this rake has served me very faithfully. When you’re planting grass seed, you’re supposed to gently rake the dirt over the seeds with the back of the rake. This rake has 2 sides – long tines on one side and a serrated looking side that’s perfect for leveling loose dirt. Each side has 16 tines – more than my old rake. It also has a much longer fiberglass handle with a soft grip, which is much easier on my back and much more efficient. My only concern is that the head of the rake is fastened to the handle with a single rivet that is not flush with the handle and I fear that it may loosen eventually and allow the head to wobble. That’s exactly what happened with my old rake. I guess I’ll find out eventually, but in the meantime, I’m happy with the 2nd side of the rake, and the longer fiberglass handle.
