Product Details

Use the ideal noalox anti-oxidant joint compound to improve the conductivity of aluminum electrical connections. Anti-oxidant compound is a perfect safeguard for aluminum to aluminum, aluminum to copper wire connections and aluminum conduit joints. Improves efficiency and service life of aluminum electrical applications.
  • Provides additional inner strand and inner conductor current paths for improved conductivity and cooler connections
  • For use with pressure type wire connectors including lugs, taps, service entrances and split bolts
  • Reduces galling and seizing when applied on aluminum conduit joints promoting good ground continuity
  • Voltage rating 600-Volt, Temperature range -40°C to +150°C
  • UL listed
  • Compound contains zinc particles that penetrate and cut aluminum oxide
  • Suspended zinc particles penetrate and cut aluminum oxide

      A:  Julie no you should not have to the connector is filled with something similar. Please keep in mind you cannot refill the connector they are a one time use only. Hope that helps Ron at ron.kipper@idealindustries.com

        Q:Can I use this for an Al/Cu connection and regular wing nut or do I have to use the purple wing nut for Al/Cu connections?

        A:  Sam no you cannot you need to use the Purple Al/Cu connectors, Alumincon connectors or another connector rated for those type of connections. Hope that helps Ron at ron.kipper@idealindustries.com

            0.5 oz is enough for an eternity with my mech mods!
            I use Noalox for the mechanical switches in my homemade mechanical mods; It keeps the current flow at a consistent and strong level. {These are Reo's style devices with a brass strip for the switch} I also but a dab of this where the battery negative directly grounds to the aluminum chassis. Nice! :-)
