Heavy duty
I want to start by explaining how flexible this tape is. First, I ran it through 10 pieces of ½” schedule 40 PVC 90 degree conduit corners in different directions to simulate an impossible situation. It was able to make it all the way through. I was able to pull a piece of 14-2 with a ground through 6 corners. I have no doubt this will work like a dream through larger conduit but wanted to test it in a difficult scenario. It passed my test. Being that it's so flexible, it's not as rigid as steel but it's non-conducive for working near live circuits. It features approximately 7 inches of flexible leader which is springy feeling and has a fiberglass core which allows for 500 pounds of pulling strength. The case has a comfortable feel in your hands and it says it's made in the USA with US and global components.

Nice fish tape
An electrician once told me to get a fiberglass fish tape, and I can see why. This 100 ft. S-Class fish tape is flexible, lightweight, and much easier to work with compared to traditional metal versions that tend to recoil. It has a good balance of flexibility and rigidity, so it can push or pull wires through tight or awkward spaces without fighting you. The Tuff-Grip handle feels solid in the hand and helps keep everything under control while feeding or retrieving the line. Overall, it’s a great upgrade for electrical work around the house.

Awesome Performer. Built to Last
I used many fish tapes in my 15 yrs as a Lineman/Splicer but none were as easy to feed and retract as this model from IDEAL. Fiberglass tapes are much easier to use than steel ones and safer too in case of an electrical contact when fishing through live structures or panels. The wire wound spring-like leader seems to really feed the tape smoothly around conduit elbows. I tested in on a small 1/2" x 25' duct run in my patio and it went through and pulled back effortlessly. The case has a shield inside that's hooked to the handle which seals the slot and prevents the tape from popping out making a huge mess. Something that always happened with steel tapes. Wish I'd had one of these back in my years in the Trade. Seems really well built and should last a long long time.

Ideal 100' S Class Wire Chase
This 100' S Class Wire Chase with "Gold" fish leader is the tool necessary for professional electricians and most advanced "Do It Yourself" enthusiasts. With a 500 pound pull weight, you are able to handle most wire pulls without worry of snagging or chase breaks. The gold colored leader allows secure tying of the wires, with quick identification to allow a visual notification when the wire is about to pop out. The "Tuff-Grip" handle also allows a firm hold, even after using the necessary chase lubricant.

This non-conductive fish tape works like a charm. As a homeowner I occasionally need to run a wire either for power, internet or cable. I usually leave the power lines for a pro, but the others I can do. Recently I decided to put in a LAN switch instead of boosting my WIFI signal. I needed a fish tape to run the cable from one end of the house to the other. I decided on this tape because it was non-conductive and very strong. All you have to do is drill the holes, run the tape through to the cable origin, fasten it to the cable, wrap the joint with electrical tape and pull the cable through. A little dry lubricant REALLY helps if you are running multiple wires through the same holes.

The Ideal Tuff-grip pro is perfect for household electric wiring or any cabling you need to run through walls. Made with fiberglass it is safe to use around electric circuits. I have a 65 year old house with limited space between the plaster walls and I was able to fish some new wiring down the walls very easily. The leader loop is very useful for hooking onto the end of your wire so it won’t slip off.

Tuff-Grip Pro 100 ft. x 3/16 in. S-Class Fish Tape with Leader has strength and durability with the needed flexibility needed to make multiple turn's. The 3/16 inch round tape says it has 500 pulling strength, I have not had to test anywhere near that amount of pulling force yet but it feels strong enough to handle whatever I will use it for. The added safety of a non-conducting fish tape will make all my electrical wiring jobs safer than my old metal fish tape; this is a good quality fish tape that should last a long time.

I would have given this a full 5 stars if it wasn't so tough to reel it back in the holder. Otherwise this is a must have for fishing lines through walls, conduit, attics or any other place you can think of. I worked for years in HVAC and we made our own fish tapes. It is a wonder we didn't get ourselves electrocuted in the process. Well, this one is non conductive so that isn't a worry with this one. Quality fish tape.
